Dr Paula Higgins, Chairperson of the PMA has over 18 years senior management experience in the chemical processing industry. She has managed a broad range of projects and programmes and she has considerable experience in delivering training and consultancy in project and change management. As an independent association, the PMA is uniquely positioned to offer objective information to individuals and organisations on the most appropriate qualifications and accreditations to suit your needs.
A survey conducted by the PMA across different sectors has shown a high demand for project management skills and competencies and a shortage in certified accredited professionals. Participants indicated that strong project management and people management skills are key to improving competitiveness. Recruitment companies reported a surge in demand for certified project management professionals indicating that experience alone no longer carries weight as proof of competence. This talk will provide key insights into what industry and the project management community really want, what gaps exist and how you can gain the most appropriate qualifications to improve individual and organisational performance and employability.
