John O'Toole - Biography
CEO, CMI - Communications & Management Institute. John has worked in training and education since 2003. Prior to that he worked with national and international companies as a project developer and sales manager. He is currently responsible for managing the day to day operations of CMI and its suite of courses. CMI is a recognised REP and currently provides 14 week evening courses in PMP & CAPM as well as an Advanced Diploma in Project Management. The new Agile Certified Practitioner course will commence Monday 24 October for 14 weeks and will be delivered by 2 qualified agile practitioners.

Ed Sherwood-Smith  - Biography
BA, MBA. Ed is on the lecturing panel at CMI and lectures on Agile and Project Management with CMI. He is a co-founder of Whitepier Technologies which helps businesses prepare for successful project engagements. His role is predominantly technical. He was previously leader of the software development team that developed AOL's sponsored link management platform. He also worked on projects with Canada Life and Novell Ireland software.

Ciaran Kennedy Msc, CSM, CPS – Biography
Ciaran Kennedy has extensive experience and knowledge of IT, Technology, Software Development and Projects. Having worked in IT for over a decade, he recently founded a new Agile startup called Chillistore Technologies Ltd (2010). This is an Agile Software Company (www.chillitech.ie) based in Dublin, Ireland.

Ciaran is also the founding father of Scrum Ireland (est. 2008, www.scrum.ie), the world’s first Scrum Social Network dedicated to IT Professionals based in Ireland and further afield who are passionate about learning more, sharing scrum and agile practices across company boundaries.  Ciaran also likes to give back to the community & lecture on Scrum which he is clearly passionate about. Ciaran also spends some time during the year lecturing part time with the Communications Management Institute (CMI).

Ken Power – Biography
Ken is an internal Agile-Lean Coach/Consultant and co-founder of the Agile Office at Cisco Systems’ Unified Communications Business Unit. He works with global product teams and the organization’s leadership, navigating a path through their agile journey.

Ken has been working with agile methods for over 12 years and has wide experience introducing and applying agile development at all levels in organizations, and across a variety of industries and domains. His interests include architecture, agile processes, lean development, patterns, systems thinking, kanban, test driven development, and organization design to support productive and effective teams.

Maurice Lynch PMP – Biography
Senior Project Manager with Intel Ireland, in the past worked as an Engineer, Web Developer, Project Manager Coach, best practice Auditor and Project Manger, using various Project practices and methodologies to lead successful projects.  Professional Development Officer with the Ireland Chapter of PMI.  In the last three or so years Maurice has practiced in various areas of Agile and is a keen Agile evangelist.
