Job Vacancy - Project Manager

 

Modeva currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager to manage a range of project types from internal process/system improvements to customer-facing product development and
maintenance.

The Opportunity:

As a project manager in Modeva you must be an established project manager with a proven track record in managing multiple projects concurrently and interfacing with a multi-disciplinary team including technical, regulatory and marketing functions. The successful applicant will also be responsible for driving all the components of successful project management from requirements gathering to planning and execution all the while guiding a team with varying levels of experience with formal project management methodologies.

This is a hands-on role where you will be managing projects through the full software development lifecycle and carefully monitoring and controlling through each of the phases from initiation to closure. In addition you will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer in contributing to the further development of excellence in project management practise in Modeva.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with Business Stakeholders and functional teams in determining scope of work for projects.
  • Working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to elicit and manage system and functional requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define WBS and estimates to establish project plans.
  • Develop and manage the project plan delivery and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Ensure that all risks and issues are identified, managed and escalated or resolved.
  • Work with the IT department to ensure adequate infrastructure and support is available for project delivery.
  • To lead the development and delivery of products to agreed quality standards.
  • Planning and controlling releases into production.
  • Provide regular, meaningful feedback and reports to project Stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and effectively apply Modeva’s methodologies and project standards.
  • Responsible for management and maintenance of project documentation.
  • Mentoring Junior Project Managers and team members.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years proven experience managing the implementing software solutions.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead cross functional teams and professionals of all levels.
  • Proven ability to elicit and document business and technical requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative in a dynamic business environment.
  • Good understanding of business technology.
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings.
  • Experience in requirements management, defect tracking and project planning tools an advantage.
  • Formal Project Management Qualification desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Business discipline.
